I have one of these, I don't recommend.
Your controller has to placed precisely in the correct position otherwise it won't charge. Now after multiple uses for it to charge I need to hold the controller in place.

800 mAH sounds incredibly small for a battery pack. I'll stick to my Eneloop swap routine.

Thanks. very helpful. Many of the reviews say the same thing too.

I picked this one up instead for $19.99 which is on a lightning sale right now and seems to have better reviews.

I had one and also had the same issue...It has to be exactly PERFECT to make the connection

Anyone who's had this for a few months and can provide input on the longevity of the battery life?

It's always hard to find these type of things or a rechargeable battery set for the Xbox that last for over a year or at least that

Anyone have one? What's the verdict, does it work hard, or does it hardly work?

I would invest in two rechargeable double AA batteries and charger instead of this. You can get larger capacity batteries that way. The 800mah batteries that come with this will not last you long, especially if using a headset to chat while playing. I'm using 1500mah AA NiMH batteries and can get decent play time/chat time before recharging.

Just do Fujitsu, eneloops or ikea ladda batteries- they will last longer than the Xbox does
