These are trash even if free. I am an HF proponent but this product is garbage.
i bought 2 sets of 9v the other day for my july 4 smoke dectectors yrly replacement. havent gotten a chance to replace them but i hope they should be ok for this task. no?

Ehh.... I wouldn't trust them. If you get them for free and don't mind changing them when they die WAY prematurely it's fine, but they are not worth the hassle to me.

Safety equipment is the last thing I would use this with.

are they that bad? they got very good reviews though. i mean if they are dying, your detectors would notify you right.

yeah worth a shot 4 for 1.69 how bad can they be, similar duracells are like 10 bucks. I picked up a set of 4 and will give it a shot, Last year I rented in a cold state and when I went to replace after living a year, out came the same thunderbolt battery. so i guess its safe to say one should get a year or more out of them. They do feel half the weight compared to duracell or other standard makes so lower mah for sure.
