Seems similar to the GE75 Raider I got from Costco. except for the15 inch screen and the hard drive (s). Anyone have any input on differences? Like battery life?

Helios 300 comes undervolted out of the box and has some of the best thermals in this price range. The screen is also better than the Ge75's screen and it also says it's overclockable which makes me wonder if they give you an option to overclock it out of the box. It's also able to charge through usb-c.I would get this over the Ge75 if it had a 17 inch screen and more ssd/hdd but, if that's not important to you, go for the Helios.

I also like the keyboard about 3x better than the MSI offerings. There's nothing wrong with them functionally, I just find my accuracy and speed to be a lot better. Full disclosure, I dislike MSI keyboards a lot compared to Lenovo & Acer, and I type about 205 wpm, so my needs are rather different.

After 9 months of enjoying it, I bought a second helios 300 (9th gen) for my company, and if it weren't for Ryzen, I'd be running to buy a 3rd this year.

It also is a lot snappier than my Rog Strix III (9th gen), which is no slouch. For little things like building online galleries in lightroom plugins or other small and repetitive functions, there's less delay.

Would you still buy it if it's called "Acer Hello Kitty"?

Pulled the trigger on the Razer 15 Base deal at 1K, but doesn't ship for two weeks.

Folks that know better. How's this compare, seems comparable guts so really asking personal experience Razer vs. Asus at this range?

Switching back to PC gaming after 5 years of just a MacBook / Console Gaming setup.

On a QWERTY laptop keyboard, would be truly astonishing.
