Seems decent if you're in the market for a basic 50".

Is this RGBW? Saw some people mention it before that LG has some "fake" 4k TVs.

I'm done with LG TVs. I've had 3 and they all have had an issue where the volume gets lower over time. My Samsung does not have this issue. Also, one of them constantly loses Wi-Fi signal and keeps restarting every 30min. Never again

Bought a few LGs a few years ago, horrible OS very laggy and buggy. There is a serious flaw with the wifi module. Constant disconnect and drop out. I have now Vizio and Samsung TV. The wifi works fine on all, expect the LGs. Constant wifi disconnect. No other brand TVs in the house does that. Even our cheap Hisense works flawlessly. LG terrible software terrible OS.

TV's in general aren't typically good monitors because they have TONS of image-processing that causes input-lag and response-times to be far, far higher than even a bad budget monitor. That-said, LG's OS has a "gaming" mode that disables basically all image processing to improve input-lag and response times -I'm typing this from my living room on a 2017 LG Nano-Cell TV and the mode works pretty well. I don't know if more budget-centric models have the same mode, though.

The Nano-Cell line also has a 1080p 120hz mode alongside the 4k 60hz one which also helps make the whole thing feel more responsive while gaming -most budget LG TV's are stuck with 60hz for eveything. I wouldn't recommend any budget TV as a monitor replacement personally.

All tvs have gaming mode. I use a 55' Vizio as my monitor and its been great. Having said that, do not buy for a monitor now as tvs are changing with variable refresh rates and freesync. Very much needed

My concern is many TVs are not fricker free. If sitting in front of a big screen TV for a long period of time, that would increase the chance of eye strain. My apologies for being lazy and not able to research this model while at work, so I bought up my question.

Bought the 43" from Costco for like $250 and it has the magic remote. This one has the regular remote so not really that slick.
