Anything that gets all over, and stuck in my carpet, or all over my furniture, makes me quite irritated.

In theory this is a great educational set but in reality this has some flaws. The foam is made up of little styrofoam balls that stick together. The good news is that's it's not tacky and generally isn't messy. The bad thing is that these little balls will shed over time so you'll have styrofoam balls littering your house. Also, letters are good for learning and foam is good for sensory play; however, I haven't had success combining them. Kids tend to want to do one or the other. YMMV, just wanted to provide my experience.
