Was think of getting a definitive technology setup. But will cost about 1k more than this system. Anyone know how this sounds in comparison? I've heard the definitive system and they sound fantastic but am not familiar how these sound. Thx

Could you please provide a link to the Definitive setup you are referring to? I would like to take a look as well.

Depending on which model but either way you'll most likely find them to sound very different.
"Fantastic" is pretty good, might be hard to beat.
Keep in mind Klipsch list this model as their very entry level.
You should be able to go to BB, they normally carry Klipsch.
You can take a listen and see what you think. Klipsch is a acquired taste.
Might not be the same model but there isn't a major difference between models IMO.
Isn't there sometimes a deal for like $600 range? Think it doesn't come with sub. I just don't know how that bundle compares to this. Just upgraded my receiver and did my outside speakers. Nexy upgrade is inside speakers. Advice? Thanks.
I found the deal for $650 on slickdeals in the past. how does this compare?

How would these towers compare to something like Polk Monitor 70 series II?
Klipsch are generally considered "brighter" or "harsher" whereas polks tend more toward the "neutral" or "warm" tonality. I'm a Polk fan and some Klipsch fans may trash me for that comment but it isn't meant to be ugly. The monitor 70s are solid speakers.

Side note that I have a full set of monitor series in one room and recently upgraded to Harmon infinity in another. Do a search here for infinity reference and check out and watch for a similar sale. Especially if the r263 comes back at $200 each!

The 610's only have one forward facing 6" bass driver and no top firing atmos.
I've got the 620's and think the second 6" driver really helps the mids. They already don't have a lot of low end, so dropping the extra driver makes the 610s a no go for me. If I were buying these towers again, I'd save up and go for the r-820f(please don't crucify need for recommending a more expensive speaker) or step up to the reference premiere line. You should really try to listen to them before you buy. Other commenters are right about them having a bright sound that isn't for everyone, but I like it.
Personally I think the atmos on top of floor-standings is sub par, and doesn't work at all in some situations(I've got vaulted ceilings)

You can try amazon and standsandmounts.
You might get lucky and find one used.
Just make sure you find which height you need 1st.
