I wouldn't be posting this if I wouldn't recommend it.
It's honestly the only power bank I use.

Pretty outdated at this point. There have been deals for the same mah for the same price but with PD so there's no way I'd drop money on an old design these days.

I've had this for 4 years, solid power bank, very compact, can also take a beating since it is a metal housing. But at this day in age, I wouldn't buy it. USB-C is becoming more common place and you'll need that for future proofing and not putting money to waste.

Those are the reasons I'm skipping it

I'm not saying this isn't old, but all the USB-C devices I have use USB-A to C cables anyway. Would there be an advantage to have a USB-C out?

Reliable brand, so probably some decent 18650s. The design is a bit long in the tooth, so the price change probably signals that it's being discontinued. It's been $16 for almost a month. Not a bad deal, just that we're so used to seeing promo codes and coupon clips on these power banks.

Agreed. My iPhones support Lightning->USB-C, but it's not worth it to me to have a bigger mess of cables and chargers that only work with newer devices. USB-A can support up to 12W for iPhones, whereas the ones that support PD can go up to 18W. It's 50% faster, but only up to 80%, where it's going to have to slow down anyways. I have a bunch of iPads that don't support Lightning->USB-C, so it makes sense to just keep everything USB-A for the most part. I use something like this with my Oculus Quest with a USB-C->A adapter as well.

Any device that has a lightning port supports usb-c to lightning they just won't fast charge if they are older devices.

Yes because instead of having to carry 2 types of cables you can use a single cable to charge your phone from the battery or charge the battery from the wall.

USB PD. In the future, C to C charging will be THE standard.

Thanks, that's good to know. The Apple spec pages don't really make that so clear.
