Hmm, to buy supplies or not?

Who knows if there will even be school this year. At home work is mostly computer, not supplies.

Post an address we can send donations to. Maybe your school district?

I had glue and glue stick in my cart and was checking other items on the supply list and both went out of stock for shipping, none of the stores near me is available for pick up.

If you need Glue Sticks, Amazon has them for $0.22/stick (7g sticks) if you buy the 30 pack ($6.40) or less with subscribe and save.

I'm stocking up for my 3D Printer.

Decent deal, but nothing special.

If it's for in school learning, I don't know if it'll be used. I highly doubt most schools will be doing in school learning come August/September and even if some states force the issue, I'm guessing it will close back down in October after more spikes as were currently seeing.

If you want to support those that educate your children think about the tools they'll need for more effective distance learning.

An iPad and iPencil would really help them out and requires the pooling I'd parent money. Yes schools should be able to provide this stuff, but they're historically underfunded and with the school budget cuts coming it'll be even harder.

I guess it's a nice thought but I'm not buying my child's teacher an iPad. I'm not even sure I know a single teacher without a home PC, laptop or iPad. We've all had to absorb some of the cost of working from home. Lots of us invested in un-reimbursed webcams, microphones, printers, memory etc in order to facilitate working from home. This is really no different than any other industry.

Also, even with distance learning kids will still need notebooks, scissors, glue, paper, markers, etc.

I'm seeing Target matching these prices in-case local stores run out. Also, eraser seems to be cheaper.

I bought some from Staples so I can get a monitor. But if you need supplies, just as an alternative.

AAP is the gold standard org. for pediatrics supports in school learning https://www.nytimes.com/2020/06/3...s-aap.html

but I'm afraid polictics/ fear will win out.

The lockdown has confirmed that many "schools" are just a babysitting and detention service foisted on the taxpayers by the unions to keep their incompetents employed.
