You should probably put "Ridgid" in the title. Not everyone has the same line of power tools. Also, there appears to be some contradicting information in the text: " Backed by the RIDGID 3-Year Warranty, this model includes four 1.5 Ah Lithium-Ion Batteries and an operator's manual." Seems like a pretty Slick Deal for 10, even if they are the low capacity batteries.

This seems like a fantastic pack for a pro setting where you always need a fresh pack and have multiple workers pulling from it at a time.

For those not needing 10 batteries, four and six packs are available at $25 each.

IMO, not that great of a deal. 15Ah is what you are paying for 228. There were better deal for the 9Ah one.

A 9ah battery is only useful in very specific use cases. Comparing AH/$ isn't really the best way to look at it. Of course not many are going to need a stockpile of 1.5 batteries either, but a very good price compared to normal retail for anyone that might.

Agree.
And I don't always want a big honking battery on my compact flashlight, drill, etc.

1.5AH isn't my favorite size, but if your 6ah battery dies from a short, you lose 6ah of capacity. If one of 4 different 1.5 ah capacity batteries dies, you still have 4.5 ah to finish the job. Of course, you'll probably want a multiport charger if you buy 10 batteries!

I've only seen the 2 port charger. Nothing close to the 6 port 'super charger' of Ryobi. Does something like that exist or do you have to make something custom?

No LSA. And not really a deal. How many small batteries do you need?

Ridgid doesn't have too many bare tool deals so typically they include batteries and chargers with LSA's.

I'm curious if Ridgid has a built in overdischarge.
I have a project and wanted to use Ridgid batteries but I'm afraid if I may overdischarge it
and end up killing the cells. Some tools have this feature in the tool and not sure about Ridgid.
I want to see if I can buy an adapter and use it on other tools too.

is it? i just got a dewalt at home as a DIY type, it came with a drill, impact driver, 2x1.3ah batteries -- i was drilling some deep holes and ran through a fully charged battery very very quickly. i wouldnt want to constantly juggle batteries so small all day at a jobsite if i had a lot to work on.

I could see that.

It really depends on what you're doing. I know I wouldn't want to deal with a 4ah battery weight if I'm drilling/screwing overhead often.

Bonus of these little packs is they are light enough that you could keep one in your toolbelt. When you run through one, have your gopher swap it out so you always have a fresh spare.

Some people buy used/open box/blemished and the batteries are sometimes not included. Direct Tools Factory Outlet is often on Slickdeals with Ridgid gear. Also if one were enterprising they could potentially flip a 10 pack by selling individuals/pairs, so the deal could be helpful for those users.
