This is a long read but has pretty good info on how audioholics (one of the trustable and knowledgeable reviewers out there) certify each subwoofer they review https://www.audioholics.com/louds...-room-size if you want to skip all reading, the monolith 15 is extreme certified which means this should easily fill spaces greater than 5000 cu feet. Hope this helps

Picture is only half of the movie.
What is more of a question is if you don't care about high end audio, why are you in a thread for it?

Any good resource out there to find out how much cubic feet a subwoofer will reliably fill? My house is open concept with a loft and the space where I currently have my home theater is in that open space.

I don't have a calculator but I have this subwoofer in a 20 x 20 room with a vaulted ceiling. It also has two large openings into other rooms. Not exactly open open but close. I have this front corner loaded and it hits hard. It can knock things off of shelves and rattle doors.

I'm very happy with this for the year I've had it.

This Monoprice Monolith 15 is a beast of a subwoofer and good price given this model doesn't go out on sale frequently. If anyone is looking for an alternative 15 inch ported with similar performance I would suggest taking a look at http://www.hsuresearch.com/produc...5hmk2.html I have owned this sub for 2 years now and can positively recommend this to anyone

It's THX Ultra certified up 3,000 cubic feet. The sub weighs 128 pounds. Speaker placement is key to optimize the performance. If you want more output, go with dual subs.
