If you are running an amp modeler like a Helix, you should not be using a guitar cabinet with a voiced speaker like this. These color the amplifier sound to get what you typically hear in an electric guitar, but the Helix and other modelers already emulate cabs/as part of their signal chain. Unless you bypass speaker emulation it's going to sound like crap.

What you'd want is a flat frequency flat response (FRFR) speaker. These do not alter the sound and allow the speaker emulation in the Helix to be heard properly. There is a popular one made by Headrush that is loud and not too expensive and would pair great with an amp modeler.

This ^. Nobody cares who makes the box. A real musician cares more about the speaker inside. This is 3/4' plywood with a Celestion G12 Vintage 30. The speaker alone retails for the cost of the cab. You get a nice cab for free. If anyone gives you shit, they don't know anything about amps/cabs, and you can safely ignore them anyway,

Is this genuine or licensed celestion? I have the 15 watt amp and I love it, but it's licensed, not authentic.

Vintage 30 is a real Celestion. This is a good deal. The speaker alone costs more than that.

Probably good if you like V30s. You'd need a power amp too.

Anyone have any comments on a 2x 12" V30 cab vs a 1x 12" V30 cab at lower wattages and volumes? Is it just a complete waste of money and space to have 2 speakers or does it sound better?

Let's clarify precious responses: this cab would sound just fine with a Helix AS LONG AS you've DISABLED your "cab" block, and are only using an "amp" block. If you want to emulate a cab in the Helix (either by built in cab or an "impulse response") then you would need an FRFR speaker for the best sound possible. Again, not necessary as long as you disable the cab block - which is quite obvious since you already HAVE a cab... This item.

Model an Amp and don't use a speaker or impulse response block before the output to the power amp. Use a Power amp that's really transparent and has a lot of headroom.

If you also use annFRFR speaker or computer monitors, split your USB/monitor out from guitar amp and don't forget to use a speaker/IR block in front of that output.

You could run stereo, with two power amps at a stereo preamp. Plus having two speakers gives you more power handling capacity (120 Watts v 60 Watts).

Spatial distancing of two sound sources makes for a bigger fuller sound and having two 1x12s will sound "bigger" than one.

One 60 watt speaker at full volume ( say a cranked 50watt tube amp) is still absurdly loud and would injure the ear at close range, so two speakers destroying your ears is just destroying your hearing more quickly.

This looks like only the Right speaker ... do they have the Left one on sale too? I don't see it on their site.

This is my favorite speaker.

It is probably used on most of the metal guitar recordings you've heard in the last 30 years. This speaker plus one or two Shure SM57/58 microphones is a mean combination.

Idk if your joking but stage right is the sub brand under monoprice. You can just buy 2 and run them in stereo.

In this case getting two right speakers seems right
