My understanding is Tapo is their "value" line that makes a few compromises like these only support up to 10 amps not 12 amps (HS103) and 15 amps (HS105) like Kasa. Why they couldn't do this in one app is beyond me.

openhab ftw....use the app to get the device paired to your wifi, then trash the app. openhab controls it from there
