Gamestop [gamestop.com] has the Gotcha on sale for $28, and then a BOGO storewide accessory/apparel deal on top of that. I just got two for $35 including tax and shipping - just in time for GoFest!

Add 2 to your cart, and the deal will apply as you check out.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Oh, so actually 2 for $28 before tax. Nice.

Saw this too. Not sure if it's any better. BOGO for it too.

I doubt they would sell this at GameStop if it causes you to get banned

I bought a little keychain pouch to tote mine around in, way better than trying to use a watchband

Great price.

I have it and it was a pain to charge and would disconnect. Eventually got tired of it and lost it.
Replaced it with CatchMon [amazon.com]. $80. Handles 2 devices.
This thing is amazing. It uses regular aaa batteries. Lasts about 2 weeks.
The connection is persistent. Always connects, stays connected. Even when I swapped out the battery while connected, it would simply reconnect.
It auto detects and catches/spins faster.

I've been using mine for about a year and a half - although prior to that I'd lost it twice so in for two more Smilie

How exactly does this work. Could I pair it with my phone/app and leave it in my car set to auto spin and catch, and it would do this as I drove?

Would I need to repair or reopen the app each time or could I set it up once, leave it in the car and kind of forget about it?

You gotta turn it on/pair everytime you start up the app. Basically before you do your trip, you set it up. However, it has about an hour pair time before you have to pair it again. After initial set up, you just gotta tap the option in the app, and then tap on gotcha to turn it on and pair. But yes, once it is paired, it will auto catch and spin for you, as long as Pokemon go doesn't reset(either you end all app activity, or something causes it to reset) You do need to have it near your phone though, so can't forget about it.

Also, while it does do those functions while driving, there is a speed lock on the game, so driving too fast may either miss, or fail the action. This is not the gotcha's fault; it is the limits set by the developers of Pokemon go, even with manual play.

Appreciate the detailed reply. I thought that may be the case about the speed of driving. Its too bad you have to set it up in the app each time you use it, though I may still give it a shot.

You can set it up to manually catch as well.

When I had one, It seemed like it was either on or off. If I had it off, it was manual but the device didn't notify me. I could be wrong. Had it a long time ago.

Mine disconnects all the time. It's essentially unusable.

Agreed. Had for a year and the damn thing disconnects all the time. If you have android it's better to use the GO Companion - Go Plus Helper in the google play store. It's free minus the data it collects concerns.

Also if anyone wants extra bands these have been the best ones i've found with the best patterns for $8. Essentially 2 for guy and 2 for a girl but anything can be for anyone. They look alot better than the stock one and although it gives a wide shipping date range, mine came from Cali in a week

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1
Do these bands hold it more securely than the original? I was peeved when my Gotcha fell out of the original band just three weeks after I bought it.

Jumping in on this deal for a replacement, but want a more secure wristband or strap that won't risk it falling out due to flexing.

I lost mine. Frown So easy to lose when it's not in the bracelet. Thankfully I got the Pokeball Plus when it was on sale for $20.

This thing is awesome! If you and a good friend, or better half play the game religiously then I highly recommend it. At my work - there's a gym right at the entrance, and with the double distance going on because of the Pandemic it makes a difference. It will automatically spin the gyms/pokestops and attempt to catch Pokémon also. I usually charge it the night before I go to work and it lasts me the 3 straight days of 12 hour shifts. Definitely worth it for that level 40 grind!

I bought a silicone holder for it on ebay that has a keyring on it. Put it on a carabiner and I clip it to my keys or purse or stroller. Love the thing!
