I tried this vs SuperCrema, which is my daily. SuperCrema tastes WAY better for me.
That is just for me though.

In practice, though, most espresso is made from darker roasted beans, therefore roasters will roast selected beans a bit darker (and this is when some will use Robusta beans in addition to Arabica in the blend specifically for espresso--though 100% Arabica is preferred for drip and other coffee making methods).
I find this Lavazza "Espresso roast" less dark (and close to a "Medium" or Vienna roast than some others which I find over-roasted.
For example, the Kirkland House "Medium" roast is actually very dark, almost a French Roast.
EDIT: The older, discontinued Kirkland House Blend was roasted very dark. The new version introduced this year, that is no longer roasted by Starbucks, is not as dark a roast.
They also have "Espresso Italiano" and "Espresso Barista" which both also are just the names of the product like Sprite is the name of a Coke product.

I showed this deal to her just now and she said "Goddamn, you're right." Gotta love it.
