Been this price for awhile now.

Got them a few months ago on my 4R.

Great tires.

FYI, these are not E rated. They are the SL (passenger rated) tires. Not going to debate what is a necessary load rating, just making those aware.

what's the difference between the wildpeak AT vs AT3?

also, was looking at falken's website and they have a rubitrek AT that has higher ratings on on-road drive with same off-road rating of 4 (whatever that means). anyone with experience with the rubitrek?

-------------------------

figured it out, i think.

looks like the wildpeak AT is meant more for smaller SUVs and crossover CUVs. the AT3 is for larger SUVs and trucks. i drive a mid sized SUV that is lifted, so nothing can fit my wheel well (even after lift) in the AT3 or rubitrek.

i remember reading an article a few months ago on the AT being made specifically for on road applications while being off road capable (quite capable from the reviews). they are lighter, especially good for ppl like me that drive "weaker" SUVs.

benefit for me is that the ATs are much cheaper than what you guys are needing, generally $50+ per tire cheaper.

i'm on ko2s, which are 40 lbs per, 10 lbs more than the ATs. I think the AT3s and rubitreks are closer to the ko2s in weight, obviously depending on size and model.
