You need to set a main console. All profiles can play the game on that console. On the second console the profile used to purchase the game must log in and be connected to the internet, but can also play the same digital game.

Totally agree with Mario Maker 2 being a deal, but $40 for New Super Mario U is not a deal. It's a port of an 8 year old game that adds nothing new. The only reason to get it is if you never had a Wii U (which is understandable) and REALLY want to play this specific game. There are tons of great platformers otherwise to scratch the itch including Rayman Legends which is as cheap as $12 for a physical copy at Target.

These are decent prices, but if you watch Facebook Marketplace or CL $40 is a reasonable price for a used physical copy. It probably makes me old, but the ability to resell games my kids never play is a big reason I don't like digital.
