Are these the same cheap ones you could buy on groupon for the same price that don't hold their pressure when holding it close to the muscle?

Bought a generic one from ebay for about $30. Actually better quality than i thought. They're all the same so look on eBay or amazon for cheaper ones.

Is this like one of those curved sticks with the round thing that you massage your back with?

I work out regularly, and often have to foam roll.

Is this a game changer? Should I get one of these?

I got one of these for 40 dollars (I just checked, it's 37 dollars on amazon, seller JMADENQ) and it's great, much better than expected.

I returned my Groupon one cause I thought it was a massager but it just vibrates and doesn't really help with knots.

Just bough a Hypervolt, which this is a pretty blatant rip off of. What I can tell you is this, the Hypervolt is worth every penny. Really takes care of knots and muscle soreness. I'd pass on this and spend the money on the real thing.

What makes the hypervolt any better? This is a simple reciprocating device. Don't see how charging nearly 10x more would make it 10x, let alone 2x, better.
