It's only 60Hz refresh rate, but for the average consumer I doubt that they understand that kinda jargon; and I would suggest it isn't a bad deal.

Hisense has some 65" TVs out for $50 less and better features. If you need a name brand this is still meh. It's a terrible time to buy a TV

It isn't a bad deal, but it's also been sub-$500 numerous times on SD before. There's no need to rush out for this TV, but it's not a bad entry level model.

Probably a solid TV for grandparents who would never perceive anything greater than 60Hz anyway.

Well, depending on the source, sometimes you won't get even 24Hz
So it's fine!

Hisense is garbage. I bought one a few months back after reading a review and returned it. I'm pretty sure the really favorable reviews online for Hisense are paid advertising. They look good on paper and the highest end model has a decent picture, but the build quality and os can't compete with LG. I personally think LG makes the best value TVs in the under $500 category. For mid-range Samsung is better, and nothing competes with LG OLED on the high end. I think everyone else lags too far behind on the user experience/os interface side to really contend.

I disagree with this. I have an LG OLED in my media room which looks amazing, but the motherboard has already had to be replaced once (three months into ownership) and I have a Hisense in my bedroom and I've had no issues. When both are working, obviously the LG provides a far superior picture, but the Hisense has been more reliable.

Last year's 6900 model was their lowest end IPS set and had the fake 4k RGBW panel. Not sure if this year's uses RGBW too but there are much better choices out there than this set

That sucks. I have a launch model B7 that I use to watch movies and game on daily that still looks and runs like brand new.

Amen to that! Everything is out of stock in stores (that is mid to high level) and the last two Samsung q70r's I bought had MAJOR issues out of the box. Guess I'm waiting on a new Vizio P Quantum

Yeah Prime day is a month away, right? Might be good to wait until then.
