They haven't been. Each list has stayed the same until a new one's been offered.

That said, Amazon does seem to be promoting Great Courses, heavily right now. So could always have some other type of promotions or discount. But I'm just spit balling there.

Haha, right. We should take bets on who publishes the next book first, GRRM (with Sanderson posthumously doing final edits) or Rothfuss.

TGC was a good company to learn from back before fast internet and smartphones became mainstream. I listened to maybe 50 of their programs from 2005-2008. Now you can easily find a free, more comprehensive MOOC on any Coursera-like site with optional paid certificates of completion that can potentially count towards degrees to put on resumes. You can take tests and apply what you've learned through exercises with those. Or you can just watch Youtube, where quite a bit of user-created content surpasses classical-style classroom lectures.

Haven't checked out TGC in over 10 years, so maybe they've kept up with the times. I just didn't learn as effectively from just listening to their old audio lectures.

I ask out of ignorance but are these the same ones found on Coursera or elsewhere? I did a lot of Coursera courses 7 years ago but have been out of the loop for awhile. I also have 12 audible credits so I'm somewhat curious and I am wondering if these courses are any different?

I don't know about Coursera. But the description has a release date for each book. So maybe you'll be able to avoid any overlap by staying with the most recent titles.

If you do duplicate or just don't like a lecture, Audible has a no hassle return policy which is nice.
