Yeah, the other deal was better. I priced a 16GB spec, and it was about $980 if I remember correctly. I'll also wait for a deal on a 32GB config.
This is the "s" version. Think that stands for "slim." A little sleeker, I think it has a couple other advantages. I'll let someone else who knows more cover that.

Yeah, I know. This exact laptop was cheaper a couple of days ago as the coupon was 50%, not 45.
Btw, this one does let you configure up to 32GB soldered. I just did it.
The total price for a 32GB config with fingerprint reader and backlit keyboard is $1256 vs. $1142 the other day ($2285 - 45% vs 50%)
THINK50 wasn't working with cb site because it was a standalone coupon.
This allows you to get 12% cb. When you do the math this is cheaper at the end.
Other day CB was 10%. I know because I had the cart ready and almost pulled the trigger, but hesitated long enough for the coupon to die.
The extra 5% is on the full retail price of $2285 (for my config), so today's config is around $125 more (with tax) before factoring in the extra 2% off CB savings on the discounted price.
I'm in no hurry, so going to wait it out. With the upcoming Tiger Lake release, things should get very interesting in the low power (15w) laptop scene, so prices will only go down. If Tiger Lake does what it is supposed to do in terms of general and graphics performance, I may decide to go that way primarily due to Thunderbolt 3 support. Will have to wait and see.

10% CB worked for people on the thread I posted earlier. Also, someone called in today and was able to get an CB updated to 12%.
"No, I got my cashback this morning. Also today lenovo has 12% cashback so I was able to get the additional funds added to my account."
All said and done this deal is about $100 more for me even after factoring in the additional 2% CB. Not a total deal breaker if I urgently needed a laptop, but since I don't, I'll just wait for a better laptop, even if that means waiting till BF. Also, I should be able to get an additional 5% off as soon as my wife gets her ID.me account approved (educator). If you are military, you can get an additional 10% off.
Also forgot to mention that the other day, the purchase was earning double Lenovo rewards, so that is another $30+ in value.

any ways, this is somewhat a worse deal for me than the one posted two days ago, since i would like to have a 32G memory and this one tops at 16G.
