Excellent deal if you need a nice cordless recip saw. It's not a robust as the Super Sawzall, but it's got tons of power and can cut through anything you'd need it to. I happen to have both and I honestly don't find myself depending on either over the other - I go with whichever happens to be closest to me at the time, whether it's in the garage or my trunk.

To be clear do not speak with a person. Make sure that you use automated system and do a price check. When you call the system will ask you why you are calling in a few words. Just say price check. Once you do that it will ask you for an internet number or SKU. You can use your keypad to enter it.

System will tell you how many in stock and what price. Internet number and or SKU can be found on the item page under Product Overview.

If you chose to call and speak to a person there is a chance that employees will jump on the deal themselves, so I would advise to use the method above.

Additionally if it says few items or low stock it's probably gone. If it specifically say we have 2 items remaining it's likely it's still there.

Website says not available. Phone inventory check said 1. Brickseek says 2.

Went to store and looked everywhere, including rafters, and had associate try and help me. Could not find any.

Nice. I drove 25 minutes each way and couldn't get one. Oh, well. Maybe next time.

If it says 1 in stock through phone automated system, does that usually mean the display model?

About all you can do is start scanning through the item numbers on the boxes overhead. Also, sometimes there will be more than one clearance endcap, like one near tools and another on the opposite end near cleaning supplies and gardening. GL

I drove 40 minutes one way because brickseek said 2 in stock. In hindsight I'd rather call them and have them verify. If they decide to lie and keep it for themselves, then fine I don't have to drive 40 minutes each way. If they are honest and confirm they have it in stock then at least my time wasn't wasted.
Great in theory except the Home Depot employees more than ever have no clue what is in their store. And never rely on Brickseek.

I was looking this weekend for a Ryobi light that showed 3 in stock on website and via automated price check. When I got to the store, I asked 3 employees where they were after I searched the store and did not see any. Not one employee had a clue where they were located. In fact, each one looked in the exact same places that I had just looked in the store. Duh. I'm not blind. So I even asked at the Pro Desk.

Them: Yes, it shows we have 3 in stock. Let me get someone in power tools to look.
Me: I just went that route 3 times. Are they maybe stored in the back somewhere?
Them: Uh, we don't know, it's doubtful, whatever is out on the floor is what we have in stock.
Me: Then why does stock show 3 available at this store?
Them: Our inventory is off on everything due to the pandemic. Sorry for the inconvenience. Have a nice day sir.

So, as I leave the store, for kicks I place the order online for store pickup. I do some grocery shopping. About an hour later, I receive the pickup email. Boom, 3 Ryobi lights are waiting for me in a locker.

So just forget the employees. I suggest to try the automated price checker by phone, verify there is at least 2, and then do the leg work. Even then, you may strike out. I would have had I not been able to order online for store pickup. If that is not an option, just let it go and let another SDer try their luck rather than involve store employees by phone.
