Not a bad deal, but not a great one either. There was a 1500VA one for around the same price from B&H earlier this year. Also don't like Newegg's return policy. They're slow to follow-up. Never understood why they only have one warehouse in the entire country for handling returns.

It's still a good deal for a pure sinewave UPS

I've had bad luck with this brand UPS in the past not lasting several years.

Ya I stay away from them now, the last one I had once the battery died and needed replaced the whole thing just completely cut off power to everything that was plugged in and wouldn't work. Even stuff plugged into just the surge side wouldn't come on, it was absolutely ridiculous. Googled around and found several other posts complaining of the same issue.

I went with this one despite the slightly higher price tag. I opted for pure sine wave over simulated. I currently have a cheaper cyberpower unit with non replaceable batteries and it's not as effective, but it still works (sometimes).

Hopefully it doesn't F up.

Same here brother, I just got this one because it's better to save your 1,200 dollars PC than waiting for a discount of 20-60 dollars.

They all have problems from time to time. I've had two different models of APC surge protectors, and both of them lost an outlet for no reason. Just stops giving power.

Cyberpower has a higher equipment replacement warranty than APC. That's why I chose them.

My background is in IT and I have bought a lot of equipment over the years for my companies. Thats where my thought perspective comes from, buying in mass not just a few for home use.

Got two similar Cyberpower's and both have the USB-B's in the back to connect to my Synology. The Synology recognizes the UPS automatically (without the need to install or configure additional packages) and I have it set up to safely shut down in event of power interruption.

That's a safety feature I guess. It lets you know it's time to replace the battery
