Not sure about the H series, but you want to look and make sure it supports chroma 4:4:4.

I had the prior year's V405-G9. It was great as a computer monitor, until Vizio updated the firmware. Luckily, I was able to revert to an older firmware version. Vizio doesn't allow you to opt out of firmware updates, so the set stays disconnected from the internet.

This TV recognizes computer single and switches to 4:4:4 automatically. You don't really need to do any adjustment for using it as monitor. Tested with variable patterns and did not find any flaws. When no single, the screen turns dark and prints no single detect. You have option to turn it off automatically after 10 minutes idle. (this only work for me after firmware update). Or leave it as it is so that when you move your mouse, the screen will come back. PWM dimming frequency is about 480Hz or higher. It is not flicker-free but it is much better than most cheap TVs (For example, Un7300 , Tu7000).

Sure good enough for monitor.
The tv never connected to internet, it always automatically update the firmware ๐Ÿ˜ฌ.

Set the backlight 50 to 100% due to non pwm mode. Below 50% will run on pwm mode.

Angle view is better than tcl 4 and samsung 6.

If you can get iy from costco. You have 90 days return window๐Ÿ˜.

Lg 43um7300 is $240 on costco : https://www.costco.com/lg-43%22-c...16343.html

Last year's model is only HDMI 2.0. But this year, the V405-H9, is supposed to support HDMI 2.1. https://support.vizio.com/s/artic...uage=en_US

Anyone know if this can be set to auto switch inputs? Kind of behave like a monitor? I use a Samsung TV (7100 something, 2 years old I think) for Xbox and PC right now and the switching and power are pretty obnoxious

I bought this same one from Target because I needed a monitor for work and I don't like it. Input lag even on game mode is terrible, the cursor is delayed enough to be annoying, as well as moving windows around and typing. I spent hours trying to get the text to show up clear (windows scaling, clear text, etc) and just couldn't get it sharp enough for what I need. The color on it is good, I'd use it for a TV. So I went and bought a TCL 43" yesterday and noticed a huge difference in sharpness, and very little input lag even with game mode off. The color on the TCL isn't as good, but I'm programming code and running spreadsheets so color isn't an issue. For a TV I like the Vizio, for a monitor I like the TCL, as well as LG and Toshiba 4K.
