Does patriot make their own SSDs or are they relabeled?
Most Patriot's memories and SSDs are relabeled, similar to Mushkin. They are both fabless companies, where they purchase memory modules from other countries (or companies) and assemble them on PCB. You don't know the origin of the memory, since they stamp their logo on the memory.
I prefer not to buy Patriot products for this practice because you don't know what you are getting. The whole brand sounds gimmicky to me, playing on the fact it sounds patriotic or of US origin, when all the parts are built somewhere else.
The SSD is essentially DRAMless because the 32MB is already built into the Phison S11 controller because it is part of the caching system and not added externally as a standalone 512MB or greater DRAM module. I guess its another advertising or selling tactic.
