Based on the picture, it's a Phison E12 (or E12s) controller, so pairing it with QLC makes it similar to Sabrent's Rocket Q. But agree with OP that making it B-key is strange.

They're not b-keyed. Count the contacts. B-key is 6, m-key is 5.

but according to a person who replied, he got a 2tb that was not single sided... so definitely check with Microcenter...
