Don't be discouraged if Brickseek says out of stock as I saw a couple copies of Doom at my closest store, even though BS said OOS. As always with in store clearance your mileage may vary and prices may be higher or stock truly may be out.
Exactly as the OP says, don't be discouraged if it shows OOS on Brickseek. However, feel very discouraged if it says low stock or sometimes even In Stock because that's just how that website be sometimes.
I can verify that I've seen these marked for clearance at a store near me. FYI, the Doom game is the "Playstation Hits" version if that matters to you.
You're quite welcome. I just wish they were also clearing out the PS4 version of Lego Worlds. My local store has both regular and Playstation Hits copies sitting there. Plus before the current worldwide pandemic hit they had like 8-10 copies of AC Unity but now have ZERO. Only reason I even knew it was on clearance was they had a shelf tag for it still. Then again I wonder if it's an inventory error like Lego Worlds on PS4, since their self scanners said 0 on hand, 0 in the back yet they had two of each version.

Lucky for me I've been keeping the blue cases from games I've been trading into Gamestop lately. Plus I still have copies of Destiny 2 from Walmart's $1.96 (later .03¢) clearance sale that I could crack open to swap cases along with copies of That's You that Best Buy had for .99¢ a while back. So I'm good on that front for now.

Where do you find the space to store extra cases? I know many people go digital only because they say that they don't have room for game cases so I find it interesting to see the opposite end where someone actually keeps extra spare cases.
Reminds me of a picture I saw on another site where someone said that they keep every case of a game before they trade it in and had huge stacks of hundreds, if not thousands of cases. Seems like hoarding at that point... Not to mention I'm sure they complain when they get disc only games but have no problem purposely trading them in that way.

I have more than a few of my spares in my closet (aka gaming vault). Though I really should go through my games I have currently, swap out some cases that have marks like scuffs on them and then give the 'bad' cases to GS or wherever the next time I trade something in.
