Good deal if you have some other shopping to do to get it over $35. No way I'm going to Walmart to pick these up during the pandemic. Thumbs up.

Anyone have any experience with this style of launcher for the monster trucks? I have some of these launchers for the regular hot wheels cars and am not the biggest fan. My kid typically either hits it too soft to make it go anywhere or hits it too hard and the car flies off the track. There seems to be a pretty small "sweet spot." I'd think that the heavier monster trucks might not have the same issue with hitting it too hard (especially if it is going off a ramp afterwards anyway) but wanted to check.

On the two pack, this looks like the lowest ever price on Amazon. For me, it comes down to if the cheaper price (and not having to go in the store) is worth not being able to pick out exactly what truck combo you want and just having to take what they send you. Most kids I've seen don't care what the trucks are (especially since Hot Wheels isn't using actual monster trucks from Monster Jam), but that might matter to some people.

Thumbs up overall.

No experience with this one, but FYI one of the two reviews on Walmart say basically the same thing, that their kids weren't able to hit the launcher hard enough.

It may be worth noting that these are *not* the Monster Jam trucks; Hot Wheels and Monster Jam (more specifically Hot Wheels and the parent company of Monster Jam, Feld Motorsports) parted ways a year or so ago which cut Hot Wheels out of the manufacturing of the toys and eventually brought Hot Wheels to try to launch their own series of Monster Truck shows (both series are on indefinite hiatus in the pandemic).

The main difference really is the trucks themselves; you won't find Grave Digger, Maximum Destruction, or any of your other Monster Jam favorites in the Hot Wheels sets as Mattel can't license them. In the store you'll often see the two brands sitting next to each other on the shelf and they even have similar packaging and presentation (including the two packs). My sons have some of each, and I'm pretty sure the dimensions are similar enough that the two truck types can run on each others' tracks.

You're obviously not dying to get them then.
