Found it at CDkeys for $7.69, on Steam and other sites it currently reg price at $39.99.

it's a 4x game, the combat is a little different, you can pick what tactics to choose but the battle is automated.
Also, just FYI, I got into Endless Legend recently (also via Game Pass) and have been finding that a little easier and more "down to earth" (I'm knew to 4x games, but I feel like I've been really missing out).

I bought the some of the dlc on humble store since it was on sale. They unlock some factions. So i would say just play base game to get the best value for now. Once you play through most of the factions then grab the dlc. Other 4x space games I recommend are Sins of a solar empire and stellaris.
