Call T-Mobile and change to whatever plan you want, as all plans are eligible for this deal. However, before changing, ask Tmobile rep to confirm that the changing plan will not mess your rebate.

I just saw my rebate status as denied. Per T-mobile, the Value Essential Rate Plans are not eligible. Complaining and escalating the call to T-Mobile. Not sure what to make of this. Irritating.

Did you confirm with Tmobile before changing the plan (just for sake of proof)? I did change the plan last for the Costco-TMobile Samsung BOGO deal in Feb-2020, and i got the rebate approved on 30th Day.

Costco agent had to call in to T-Mobile to 1) Activate/Add Lines to Account & 2) change the plan from Select Choice to Value Essential. Costco agent confirmed on the phone w/ T-Mobile that Value Essential was eligible. Obviously, this is incorrect as it is not eligible.

After spending over an hour on the phone, the rebate team "resubmitted" the rebate, but I had to change the plan to Magenta. The normal CSR was able to changed the Magenta so that I qualify for the "3rd line is free" is free promo.

Fingers crossed.... 1) rebate goes through & 2) my magenta plan is with 3rd line free which would be $140, about $5 more than Value Essential ($100 + $35 Chicago taxes/fees).

Is this just the standard magenta plan or the plus version? Also how many lines do you currently have?

Edit: Yes I'm in IL chicago suburbs so I totally understand the high taxes/fees. mine was about $40 for 5 voice lines & 2 MI lines. I switched to TMO first responders magenta plan.

Sorry for the late reply. This is for the standard Magenta Plan. Normally, for 4 lines, this plan runs for $160. Again, I am hoping by the next statement, the discount will kick in (agent said it takes 1 - 2 statement cycles for the discount to appear) and it will drop to $140.
