The posting says UHD 630 graphics. If that is the case don't plan on having a great gaming experience, as long as you don't mind setting to low res.

Outside of solitaire, should not even touch gaming with Intel onboard.

Just wondering if the graphics card is upgradeable? Not sure if the SSD is m2?

Even if a 1080 fits inside, you may have problem with the underpowered and custom power supply. Making upgrading that part limited if at all possible.

Inspiron desktops unless they ship with a dedicated graphics card, the power supply will not have a power GPU header.

Also, if you get a non SSD model, you won't have the screw to mount an M.2 stick (not sure the proper size).

This one is interesting if it does actually come with an M.2 and not just an SSD. Dell's i7 version comes with a 256 M.2

This has no graphics card period. It has CPU integrated graphics. The way some people worded it could throw them off. Your best bet is to add a 1650 low profile graphics card that doesn't require external power. Disable the CPU integrated graphics for a performance boost. You can even add an externally powered GPU using a data to pcie power adapter but you may be limited by the power supply limits.

I suggest adding another 8gb stick so it will run in dual channel.

Not a bad option for people who don't want to build themselves and want a starter gaming PC. I personally like the aesthetics.

Every time I see a dell deal posted with great specs in terms of processor, storage, ram, etc. people always complain they can't add graphics cards to these, is this really correct or do people assume they can turn a $600 i7 barebones computer to a VR playing Pixar rendering monster gaming machine just simply by adding graphics card...

Regardless of that, I do believe there are simple graphics cards that will allow you to play most games at reasonable fps and 1080 resolution. Could someone explain what kind of computers have the best upgradability ?

Fortnite, minecraft and wow will play on this just fine. Ask all those kids playing on their or their parents laptop....

This or the HP deal at Staples? HP Pavilion TP01-1026 Desktop Computer: i5-10400, 12GB DDR4, 256GB SSD. They seem to be similar except 256GB SSD/12GB RAM on HP and vs 512 GB SSD/8GB RAM on Dell. HP is $480 and Dell is $530. Seems for the $50 difference I can put a second SSD (512GB) in the HP and have a better system for the price of the Dell.

Can anyone chime in as to whether this would be adequate for running AutoCAD?

I'm looking for a new office computer to run multiple iterations of windows simultaneously (software is called something like 1Home1PC). It's not intensive office work. Do you think the 630 integrated graphics are still too weak for this purpose? TIA.

These cases are smaller than they look in photos. Look up the dimensions and you'll see how little they actually are. You CAN add a graphics cards, but it'd have to be a low power 1050 or 1650 at most. The power supplies in these are a proprietary micro style you can't easily upgrade, unless Dell offers a slightly more powerful version (like, 320W vs 200W or whatever) that they also use in workstations based on this case size. No stuffing a 1660 in one of these things.
