No, you can add a usb external drive for local recording. You can only view the footage if you're connected to your network.

Very few comments on this deal - which is interesting because this is an un-announced new product from Arlo. That's right, Costco is having a significant sale on something that no one else even has yet!

Check out the official Arlo website, you won't find an Ultra 2 or any Ultra with spotlight. Only the original Ultra 4k cameras.

Who knows what the regular or commonly-available sale price might be on the Ultra 2 Spotlight camera outfits when they hit the general market, but this is pretty good deal even for the original Ultras.

No. Only the arlo pro 2 comes with free cloud storage. I would have went with the 3 or the ultra if it did. No monthly fees is the best selling point. Pro 2 is 1080p and works fantastic. Every time they come out with a new version they get more expensive and consumers lose something that was valued.

The biggest thing with Arlo wireless models is the delay. I would rather have 720p quality with minimal delay

Delay is fairly common with most wireless cameras (Arlo, Ring, etc) which is why it's suggested to also use solar panel or adapter cable

Signed up for a costco membership to get this. $699 for 4 ultras (v2) seems like a pretty good deal when we can't find 4 utras anywhere else.

From the description, the V2s offer better range among other things (switch between 2.4/5ghz), but a Costco reviewer says the hardware is the same but only the hub has revised firmware which leads him to believe the original Ultras and base are capable of this "V2" upgrade.

agreed, im sure wireless from base to camera init doesnt help, plus 1080p or 4k signal vs 720p

Apparently, Costco system keeps cancelling my order, and spoke to the rep a few times and they couldnt figure out why. After 1 week of back and forth order placements, they said they were out of stock Frown. This is a pretty good deal if you can find em I guess.
