You should compare specs, not name brands, you'd look less stupid.

IPS panel so contrast isn't amazing and the local dimming isn't a great implementation. But viewing angles are great and the tv gets very bright.
This is not a good TV for most people (due to the IPS panel). In this price range, look at the Vizio P series instead. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...antum-2019

Or spend less money and go for a TCL 6 series, which will get you better picture quality:

LG TV's kick Samsung TV's butt any day! also the first thing you should do when you get these is turn off AI assistance, it's super creepy...

When compared to the SM9000, the SM9500 has slightly better contrast, can get a lot brighter in SDR, and can get significantly brighter in HDR. Rtings seems to give the edge to he SM9500 in almost every category.

I, probably just like many other SD'ers, keep holding out for the "grail" - LG C9 OLED (65"). Is it worth to continue waiting for it? It seems like prices have actually went up, rather than down, over the past few months. Is the picture quality that different from something like the TV in this deal?
