As a retired furniture store owner here is my number 1 suggestion, use Tthread lock (light hold) or nail polish same color as paint on every screw. If you do this you should not need to attach it to the wall. EXCEPTION attach to wall if small children are around to prevent injury. doing this will increase rigidity and maximize life.
I'm not trying to be a smart @ss but what you said just makes no sense. How would thread locking the screws in any way minimize the chance of, or stop, a tip over? The thing looks flimsy enough that a few heavy coats might make it prone to tip.

I get the idea of the thread lock to stop fasteners coming apart but a tip over is something that even a solid and glued up piece of furniture can do. It is why they give the wall strap kit with almost all pieces of furniture and I'd have thought a furniture store owner should know that. It can be quite dangerous.
Plan on doing pullups on it.

They will ship for free to your nearest Home Depot store if that's convenient.

OK for coats and shoes. Some reviews also recommend that you attach it to your wall if you want to make it sturdier. How much weight are you intending to put on it?

Its sturdy, but if your floors are uneven, might need to anchor it to the wall with longer screws
