The smell of this is pretty weird. Almost smells like those knock off hand sanitizers they are selling these days. The consistency is almost stringy. I don't know why garnier (L'Oréal) even switched the formula from the jars because those 20 oz jars were perfect. The smell was great and the hold was much better in my opinion. The hold on this product goes away if you are exposed to humidity. This one smells nothing like fructis in general!
I just pulled this out of the drawer and confirmed — definitely an artificial lemony scent, almost like a bad artificially flavored lemon snack.
But I've used it for years and it never bothered me. I didn't even know it was scented until just now...
I do like American Crew but that's a different price level so is more of a splurge for me now and then.
I have no sense of style tho so what do I know
