Been eyeing these speakers for a while. They've gotten pretty good reviews online and they look really good. Seems like a decent price since retail is $400.

I had bought a pair of these a few months back, really liked them but within about two weeks they developed a mean amplifier oscillation whine. Was pretty unbearable. Ended up returning them and going with something different, but I still have a soft spot for them.

these are great. Extremely versatile and great sound. They are good enough for a medium size room, I like it much better then the klipsch unit.

i have not heard them personally and am sure they are good. but just by specs, they are not ideal unless paired with a sub. 5.25 woofers arent enough to go below 60Hz. minimum woofer size for full range is 6 inches. audioengine also sells something similar with their a5 line but also sell the s8 sub to complete it.

For music with no sub i would suggest going for a pair of bookshelves and an entry level amp. keep things separate. one thing goes bad, and they will eventually, just replace that. cambridge audio and nad for Eg make great entry level 2 channel amps.

i have the above pair (older model Cambridge as mine are now 13 years old) and for under 800$, it simply cant be beat. for a medium room does not need a sub.

yes, its twice the cost, but its more than twice as good.

These are great speakers, when paired with the Kanto subwoofer.
