I had the same question recently and ended up going with a Vizio P series for 1K and it's worth it for me. 120 hz

Costco has the 8000 series for 900 I believe. Pulled the trigger on that one.

For comparison's sake, the specs on this TV are very similar to the Sam's TV. With the Sam's TV, you are basically getting an extra HDMI port, the magic remote, and a $75 Sam's GC for the same price. I don't have any personal experience, but LG's standard remote has gotten a lot of negative reviews.
