Free 12 month ID Theft Protection for Sprint customers

Limited time offer from 7/24 - 8/31/2020.

Name of the protection is "Be ID-aware by McAfee for Tmobile". I can't seem to find any additional info about this offer or the actual service itself anywhere. Info like if it's the same ID theft protection service that's offered on McAfee's website or not, and if so, at what level (McAfee has Standard, Plus, and Premium).

The offer popped up in the Tmobile rewards app, and it says it extends the offer to Sprint customers as well since both are now 1 company.

Apologies if deal is already posted but I did search SD multiple times with different keywords and nothing popped up.

I wonder if TMO is going to give Sprint customers a Free Proxy # like TMO did for their customers?

My Tmobile plan is Simple Choice and the Proxy # doesn't seem to be available to me. Or I couldn't figure out how to activate it from the Tmobile ScamShield app.

Sprint was hacked a year ago (Jul 2019), it just took them longer than usual to offer its customers free theft protection.

So is this an app or some sort of silly credit monitoring?

Credit monitoring. I signed up for it couple of days ago. Had to wait for Sprint/Tmobile to verify my eligibility. They approved and now waiting for McAfee to send me an email to sign up for the service. I'll post an update and provide more info about the actual service being offered.

Can't update OP on mobile so here are some updates:

After you sign up in OP, you'll have to wait for Tmobile to verify your eligibility. You should be eligible if you're a Sprint or Tmobile customer. Once you're verified, McAfee will email you a link for enrollment and that's when you actually sign up for their ID theft protection. No info on what service tier you're getting but I'd assume it's their basic one.
