The RAM cannot be upgraded.
It appears that the office depot product description is wrong. This laptop only has 1 ram slot that is soldered. I don't know this first hand and am only basing it on reviews and other SD commenters.

For an AMD 2 in 1, this is a good deal. Costco sells same one with AMD Ryzen 7 and 16 GB of RAM for $749, and it doesn't come with a stylus. I just bought that one actually a few days ago and am waiting on it to arrive.

But I am considering buying this one instead and returning the Costco one. $270 price difference is no small amount.

You cant upgrade the ram on this one though & screen is better on Costco one.

From specs on website:

"8GB of memory is available. Expandable up to 16GB (additional memory sold separately)."

Pretty sure the ram is soldered on this AMD line and office depot in typical fashion put the wrong specs again. Other way probably mean it's up to 16gb soldered ram.

The Lenovo website does not indicate that there is an available RAM slot with this flex 5, nor with the e14 from TD, and there seems to be discrepancies with the spec sheets from both TD and officemax. Which is better? $30 difference.

I bought one today and opened it up. RAM is soldered and there is no expansion slot. Also, they're apparently packaging this laptop with their Digital Pen by accident. It's not listed in any of the specs. I received one with mine. There are a few reviews on the Office Depot page that mention it and they have responses that appear to be from some official Lenovo account that says the model isn't supposed to ship with one. shrugging_man_ascii.png

To me, this is definitely a slick deal for many usage cases. This has the Ryzen 5 4500U with an ACM Passmark rating of 11249(!), 8GB of RAM is fine for most people considering the awesome processing power and the SSD drive. Consider, this is also a touchscreen 360 hinged unit that can be a regular laptop, a tent, or a tablet. 3 USB ports (2 Type-A / 1 3.1 Type-C), an FHD w/250 nits isn't bad in this price range, this isn't one of those skimpy 64gb solid-state drives -- 256gb on this model. Throw in the very cool privacy shutter, a 4-in-1 memory card reader, HDMI, fingerprint reader, backlit keyboard, and really - this deal is slick. 11249!!
