1.7k for 60Hz? I think that's a deal breaker for me, unless anyone wants to disprove my point.

I'm buying the 70" 4K QLED TV, Model: QN70Q6DTAFXZA, Item: 9970600, $949.99 (regular price $1299.99). IMO can't beat this TV for $950!

My local Costco in VA was setting them up today for Wednesday 8/5 sale.

A 82" at this price point is kinda hard to get the top line specs

Avoid the Q60 and Q6DT. The black levels are bad and it isn't bright.

Source: just got a Q6DT from Costco a week ago, then searched online and every review says to stay away.

And what about at its original price point?

Q90T or nothing.

Biggest improvement with HDR brightness and color volume as well as great black levels with the new algorithm of local dimming. In a dark room, Q90T or OLED are the options, in a bright room, eliminate the OLED.

My 2017 year 75" Sony XBR75X850E TV broke and I'm in market for a new a TV. Can anyone suggest if this 70" TV be an improvement or not? I'm looking for a 70" TV at around $1000.

The Costco Q6DT model is the same as the Q60T.
From RTINGS: The Samsung RU8000 and the Samsung Q60T QLED are very similarly performing TVs. The Q60T has slightly better contrast, can get a bit brighter, has more accurate colors out-of-the-box, and has better black uniformity. On the other hand, the RU8000 has significantly better motion handling (native 120hz) and supports FreeSync for a nearly tear-free gaming experience.

70" maximizes the space in my family room so that's why I choose Q6DT. Would it be better to go with a 65" Q70 or Q7DT or another Brand like LG or Vizio? Any idea on how often deals come around?

Or are there other 70" TVs that are rated better than the Q7DT?

70 inch TVs are actually extremely rare nowadays it's either 65 or 75.

I would push to 75 inch if you want a better tv but for 70inch under 1k, this is a solid value buy.

Maybe look at the Vizio PQX they have on sale for 1500.

The reviews are okay for the tv, but with that warranty, that also is a strong positive. Happy hunting!

The "D" instead of "0" basically means it's a club (Costco, Sam's, BJ's) model however there do seem to be some differences in hardware as well - many people reporting the speakers are better in the D series'. That might vary depending on size, too.

In your opinion, is the Q90T the best TV currently for a bright room?
