There are so many choices with 15" laptops and so few with17.3", IMHO (and I am talking about Rzen CPU).

How does this compare to the MSI Raider? I got it for $1200 when it was on sale @ Costco. The MSI seems to be built more sturdy, but this seems to have better thermals and possible G-sync compatible? For reference https://www.costco.com/msi-ge75-r...68605.html
Thoughts? Thanks!

And what do you think of the Elektronics RP-17? .... Ryzen 7 4800, GTX2060, it can be had for $1050.00 BUTBUTBUT no OS, no HD and no RAM (which is what I prefer) but you can get it with stuff for more money.

I personally don't need a OS, and I am a BIG believer of high end HD so I was thinking of the Samsung Evo Plus 1 TB ($180) and 32GB of Gskill 3200 DDR4 RAM ($140.00).

To me, right now, I think this is the laptop to beat. I am pretty sure they are using the same screen as their Max17 (very good screen), I think between 320 - 340 Nits.

Not sure about the RP-17, I do like the MSI, don't get me wrong. The fan does get loud when gaming and it gets hot, but you can't beat the Costco warranty...

Slow clamp for the naming... 5i with an i7. Looking at their website, they also have a Legion 5i with an i5 processor and Legion 7i with i5 and i7 processors.

What arethe specs to the MSI laptop? Really want a Ryzen 7 4800 and either a 5600m or 1660 Ti or RTX2060 and a 17.3" screen. This is what i want. And I want a decent screen and something that will last for years.

The MSI has a 512 ssd, 16 gb ram, 10750H CPU and RTX 2060, 144hz display. All the people that complain about the sound have never experienced a 15.6" gaming laptop. Even with turbo/fan boost on it is quieter than any 15.6" gaming laptop that I've tested over the past 3-4 years

I haven't used it. But from the specs it has the best display/configuration options of any 4800H laptop. To me it's the only one that doesn't have compromises. Though the omen is supposed to be good too, but I think it's only available in 15".

I use it to play games so 10750 would be enough paired with 2060.

The 5i and 7i indicate Intel. They also have (or eventually have) Legion 5 and 7 with AMD CPUs. I agree the naming is less than perfect, but that's the reason.
