At least, this is not those 60% sRGB panel. Also, this is Anti-Glare panel and unless you are in direct sunlight, the visibility in outdoor will be okayish.

While the NewEgg site states that this has a 250-nit scree, the Asus website states that this series (UM425IA) of ZenBooks sports a 400-nit screen. Reference: https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS...4-UM425IA/

Not much in the way of early reviews. Found this one [archyde.com] that says it is 400-nits.

On a different issue, the Asus website has an interesting note about the PD port:
USB-C® Easy Charge ensures 4.5-watt charging when connecting to a non-Power Delivery chargers, including portable chargers or USB Type-A to USB-C® chargers. When using a Power Delivery charger, the charging speed will match the connected adapter's power output, up to a maximum of 65 watts.
This ZenBook can be recharged with a 1A charger! I didn't know they made laptop PD ports that could take such low amp power chargers. (Slow, but better than nothing in a pinch.)

==============================================

EDIT: I stand corrected. Per the Asus website:

In the basic configuration, the notebook has a less efficient IPS panel with 250 cd / m². Asus does not provide any information on the refresh rates of the two panels, the same applies to the supported color spaces.

==============================================

EDIT2: For those who don't understand amps and watts, the 1A charger will theoretically work 13 times slower than the regular Zenbook 65W charger. So, even with overnight charging, a 1A charger won't fully recharge the laptop. And if the battery is exhausted, the laptop won't work while connected to the 1A charger.

At least 300 nits and 100%sRGB color gamut and a 15.6 inch option will make it an awesome laptop.

How's Asus these days?

- Are they still using that crap conexant?
- Does the backlit still only work in Windows?
Pretty sure Asus is better than Apple with their constant "exceed" thermal limits of the chip methodology.

I would buy it instantly if it came with a HDMI and a 2080 TI. Can only wish.
usb-c to hdmi works well usually.
For me it's the screen, but I'm assuming you want to use with multiple externals?

That says it has a option for 400 Nits display and a 250 nits display and doe snot say that all models have 400 nits display. This particular model sold by Newegg, having 250 nits display.
