They don't own the glassware market... Well maybe here on SD.
We have a decent amount of Pyrex containers with lids and I can't stand them. Mostly because the lids crack after a while and they never feel very secure to begin with. They are not air tight.
If they all went missing I wouldn't mind. But a few years ago we bought these types from IKEA and you'd have to pry them from my cold dead hands. They make them in all shapes and sizes that are convenient and the lids are very secure once you latch them down.

That said I'm hesitant to buy more. If the complaints are true then either I got lucky or they are making them cheaper.
