Why not pay another $2 and buy a wireless charging stand which you can use WITHOUT connecting power, just as a "stand"...!!!

True but I haven't come across charging stands that are tilt-adjustable. I have this same exact product. My wife bought it few years ago and at that time, I thought it was a waste of money. But going by it's durability and ease of use (foldability, able to adjust tilt for video call etc), I wouldn't mind spending 6-7 bucks on this.
