If you shop at Costco, I have found they have by far the best price on lactase pills. The 180-ct box of Kirkland tablets (individually wrapped) is $14.99 at my local store.
Getting old sucks. I was never lactose intolerant. Turned 40 and now I can only have dairy if I know I'm staying home.
Note both these and the Kirkland ones mentioned above are 9000FCC per tab. Some brands (Lactaid included) market some pills that are only 3000FCC per pill, meaning you have to take multiple per serving of dairy. That said, agree with above that Kirkland is still the best deal if available to you.

This really isn't a good price. Maybe for Lactaid brand, but not for the generics.

There are multiple possible proteins in milk that people are allergic to. This pill takes care of the most common one. If you don't know what it is in milk that bothers you, AND your allergic reaction isn't dangerous, you can try this and see if it helps with your issues. If this does not help you are most likely allergic to one of the other proteins. If this does work, then congrats you can drink milk again (in moderation! Don't overdue it... this pill can only do so much.)

Thanks OP in for one. It's the only way the boyfriend can have dairy without being in agony. He didn't know about these til I introduced them to him and he's so happy he can have milk and stuff again

LOL! Ofcourse cow milk is not suitable for humans because we are not a baby cow. Why even take these patchup tablets when healthier plant based alternatives are available?

Dairy is more than milk. I like pizza with cheese, a rare ice cream treat with my family, stinky cheeses on salads, and so on. I haven't drank cow's milk in years but have not been able to have dairy for only a couple of years. I am grateful for these products, even if I only use them sparingly.
