Here is my best translation attempt:
No need to whine about the shortcomings of every laptop deal post. It is what it is.

The problem with that attitude is that many times the nitpicking helps determine shortcomings we might otherwise overlook. So I say game on!
It is an inherent part of every laptop, desktop, or any tech item thread. Get used to it. Embrace it. You will never stop it.

There are several major classes of buyers (no judgement).

1) Those never satisfied because they are looking for their perfect laptop. They will point out one or more issues that disqualify or deter them. They will often still need to modify whatever they choose. They may be less price conscious, as long as they can get most of their needs met.
2) Those who settle and modify without fanfare. They need certain features on their list but are flexible with things they can upgrade or do without.
3) Those who don't know tech much. They deal with shortcomings they find. Price point, and/or popularity guide their selection, primarily.

My main concerns with every laptop are the quality of the screen, the amount of RAM possible, the size and weight, the CPU power and the battery life. The rest are a step below in importance.

This will go frontpage soon.

Even better - combine the purchase with the one in this deal. 1-Yr Costco Gold Star Membership w/ $40 Costco Card & $40 Off Online Orders $250+ $60 w/ Auto-Renewal (New Costco Members Only).

which means the laptop will cost $429 - $40 ($40 off $250) = $389 minus $40 ($40 costco card for purchasing membership) = $349. [Plus the cost of Costco membership]. OP, include this information in the body of your original post! I can't see how the laptop in this deal doesn't go frontpage very soon.

So, $409 because the Cosco Groupon cost $60 ($429 + $60 -$40 -$40) = $409 and that is only if the 2 $40 off vouchers can be used together on the order.

Sort of interesting they include an Ethernet port but no USB-C.

I'm more concerned about durability on those hinges. I had a convertible Acer and it's hinges broke a little after a year. Super disappointed.

Continue! Some of us feel the more info the better (generally speaking). Others are just gonna bitch no matter what. Too much, too little. Preach on.

By any chance, can the RAM be upgraded? I am assuming the 8gb of RAM is soldered. I had seen a review of this model in the UK, where the reviewer claimed RAM could be upgraded since there was one more slot..
