They aren't superior, they are different. They don't have actual rubber tips that go in your ear, and so some passive noise isolation and bass is sacrificed for comfort. They might not be ideal for someone who moves around a whole bunch cause the fit isn't as tight from what I've heard.

I used a guest account and I was able to checkout. I have been waiting for a deal on US edition of this buds. The last few deals were on the international version with no warranty. From the reviews, I prefer this model over the new buds live. Thanks OP

Buds live were $102 from verizon itself if u bought just few days back. Price was $169.99 which was included in the 40% accessories discount. Then they changed the price to $169.97 and x.97 are excluded in the discount.

Is this a huge upgrade from the gen 1 ? I have the olden one wasnt sure if it will worth upgrading it to this one.

From what i've seen objectively online, the biggest difference is the mic quality for phones calls.

There is some difference in the audio tonality? But that is highly subjective
