Got it, have it, installed it.
I have mixed feelings about it, and kind of feel like you get what you pay for.
Coverage is fantastic, 3,400 sq ft home (if you include finished basement) and ample coverage.
The internet pause feature doesn't work at all... thus limiting time to an hour or two by person is impossible.
If you are looking for good parental controls look elsewhere. If that feature doesn't matter to you this is a really solid mesh system at a really good price, with no monthly/annual service fee which originally why I pulled the trigger on TP-Link vs a competitor. Others charge anywhere from $5-$10 per month which I felt was a total rip off, and should not have to pay a monthly fee for my router(s)!!

Thanks for the comment. One question, is the router portal accessible via internet? I would hate if the router connected to TP Link servers to provide portal access

I don't believe so. I have not tried... but recall reading on a thread somewhere before I purchased that you can only access via the phone app. Not a deal breaker for me I rarely pull out my laptop other than for work.

Actually, they have it now. Although it is very limited one. The mobile app can do way more.

Is this what I want for mostly hardwired backhaul with one AP needed on wireless backhaul or can I get away with something cheaper?

I have this and Parental control (including time limit and no internet hours) works fine. I would have liked (no way to do it) more control on the parental access like after time is up allow only certain sites.

You could get the M5. You're paying more for the tri-band on this model which is pointless if you've got a hardwired backhaul.
