Is this actually a slickdeal? I daily see basic lightning deals on Amazon that are approximately 45-80 cents a foot while this is over a dollar per foot. Is this brand really that much better?

I have two Govee strip lights and one works pretty good so far(got it a month ago) and got the other last year. The old one will no longer connect to wifi. I'd still recommend them for the cheap price. Worth the novelty buy. My biggest advice would be to make sure of what you are buying and Exactly what the strip look like. Make sure your spacing is correct.

I have these and I suggest going into the Govee app and sending them a message with your issue. If they can't fix it, they'll just send you a new one.

Yeah like I recently bought some LED light strips and its too soon to comment on the longevity and quality but so far they work well.

I have lots of smart plugs so I just connect the non-smart LED lights to the smart plug so that helps avoid needing to pay a premium for wifi connected ones like these

The Bluetooth only set is discounted also ($14.44). No WiFi, Alexa or Google support. Can control with the app over Bluetooth or using the included remote. Otherwise they appear to be the same.

Is this one as BRIGHT as the slickdeal? I'm looking to use in a living/dining area where there are not enough windows to let in sunlight.

No it does not. There's some way to make it work with smart things, but I could never get it to work. I have 5 of these lights and all have been great. I use these for behind TVs for ambient lighting.

May be a tiny bit short, but it may be be long enough. I have this legth from them behind a 65 and it overlaps a good amount to where I think a 85 may be just right.

How do l specifically do you use them with the TV? Do they change color based on what you watch or maintain solid? Do they turn on automatically when TV comes on or do you do it manually? Have you noticed any advantage to having these with TV?
