Newegg has the 16GB Patriot Viper Steel 4400 kit [newegg.com] for $115 + Free Shipping.

Very popular overclockers' kit. I have this kit. Easily can do 3800 CL16 or better on Ryzen with FCLK at 1900Mhz (1:1 with memclock), and with tight sub timings. Usually $130+ when available, and usual sale price is $125, rarely less than that. Currently OOS at Amazon, $155 at B&H.

It's quality B-die. Finder link here [github.io]. Can achieve very low latency and high bandwidth.

While many benchmarks out there say better speeds and timings are needed for "better" gaming. In real world usage, it's not very noticeble vs 3200. It's like buying a faster car to improve your morning commute; Yes your car is faster, but with an actual commute and traffic, you gain nothing from having a faster car (marginally).

Like others said, spend the money on a better GPU.
B-die memory is highly sought after because it's more flexible for overclocking and more compatible with AMD Ryzen processors.

Best of the best? Jk. I've never used it but from my research it's RAM that have really good timing and speed which results in better performance. If you don't know what it is, chances are you don't really need it. it's really premium priced and IMO not worth it unless you really want the high end and price isn't an issue. If you're looking for best value in games, you may as well get a better graphics card than spend extra on this kit.

Yes and no. Memory can actually have a pretty significant impact on performance, especially with current Ryzen processors.

Great video here that tests tons of ram on 3rd gen ryzen. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iHJ16hD4ysk

If anyone is curious, this comes out to 8.64 nanoseconds latency.

AMD seems to be pretty affected by it with their "infinity fabric". Higher memory clocks really benefit those processors and it's noticeable in games.

I was told these could clock to 3600 cl 14, but it caused crashes. Was able to get it to 3600 cl 16 though.

My 3600 cl17 RGB b-die kit can do 3600 c14-15-15 1T with 1.45v. I just ordered these 4400 c19s and they better do at least 3733 c14 1T. Your motherboard and CPU's memory controller play a role too. I mainly got these to be ready for Ryzen 4000 series since more than likely they will support 4000+ memory clocks.

Got the viper steel 4133 kit for 99 bucks a little while back. Struggled to get reliable timings at 3600mhz for my ryzen build using DRAM calculator. If your doing a ryzen build id say ur better off with the flare x kit with 3200 cl 14. Xmp setting works great and its def a fast kit. Also 99 bucks atm on newegg
