Wow, literally the single thing this product was supposed to be designed not to do.

This seems like a good price for a useful item. I can't quite tell if it will be fine to reheat at 100% power in a 1,100-watt microwave for more than a few minutes. There are a couple reviews showing melted covers.

feel like a big bowl would do the same thing but with a little more steam buildup. maybe some DIY on a thrift-store rescue.

Considering a review also mentioned it melted while sitting in an unused microwave that was above an oven (in use) - likely it's prolonged exposure to heat this can't take either.

I've never had the covers I buy at Dollar Tree melt in the microwave above my oven so, sometimes, you get more (or, in the case of this product, less) than you pay for.

The ones IKEA makes last. Top rack only or hand wash, if you want. Saves so much clean up. Especially for messy drunken roommates, or kids.

Great find. In for 3. There sure seems to be a lot of whining over $2 bits of plastic (and most of the whining is about the wrong product). These things aren't supposed to last for decades to be passed down like family heirlooms.

You shouldn't microwave plastic, especially the kind that will melt. Just cover with paper towel.
